Chosen for the 1924 Olympic Games organised by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, Colombes has gained a worldwide reputation for its sports, thanks to its Yves-du-Manoir Stadium. Its urbanisation, with mainly residential areas and numerous small streets, has enabled it to maintain a diversified landscape. Predominantly by green spaces created after the Second World War, of which the Coulée Verte is one of the highlights.

Thanks to its strategic location and excellent transport links, the A86 motorway, the SNCF train station and its two tramway lines (T2 opened in 2012 and T1 planned for 2023 (1) ). The town, which has now been converted to the tertiary sector, is following in the wake of La Défense. Increasingly attractive, Colombes continues its demographic growth while retaining its authentic charm.
